We are living in a difficult time amid the Coronavirus crisis. During this time it’s important not only to practice good hygiene but also to consume foods that improve our immunity. Indians have been known to use spices in cooking since ages and all these spices have medicinal properties.

Today, I am bringing you ayurvedic Kadha (Drink) recipe which will help you improve immunity and very easy to prepare. You can have this kadha two times a day. All these spices have anti-inflammatory properties and basil helps fight cough, cold.

Ingredients

  • Ground turmeric 1/2 tbs

  • Cloves 2-3

  • Basil leaves 4-5

  • Whole black pepper 6-7

  • Ginger 1 inch grated

  • Cardamom 2

  • Cumin 1/2 tbs

  • Bishop’s Weed (Ajwain) 1 tbs

Directions

  • Add 1 ltr of water in a pot and add all the ingredients.
  • Simmer it for 10 minutes.
  • Serve hot. Add honey or jaggery (Gud) as a sweetener.

Notes

  • If you don’t have access to all the ingredients use as many as you have, You will still get most of the health benefits.
