Chutney is a very easy way to brighten up any meal. Just compliment chutney with any dish and it is good to go. Today I am making dry peanut chutney. It’s very easy to make.

Dry Peanut Chutney

  • 1 & 1/2 cup Raw Peanuts

  • 5-6 pods Garlic

  • 2 Dry Red Chilly

  • 1 tbs Salt

  • 1 Tbsp Lemon juice

  • Ingredients for tadka
  • 1tbs Cumin

  • 1 tbs Mustard seeds

  • 5-6 Curry leaves

  • 1 pinch Asafoetida (Hing)

  • Start by roasting the peanuts in a pan on medium heat. If you are using roasted peanuts, you can skip step 1-4.
  • Roast for 3-4 minutes until peanuts are light brown.
  • Add garlic and red chilies to it and saute for 1 minute.
  • After that switch off the flame and let the mix cool down.
  • Remove the cover of peanuts by rubbing them, it should easily come off. If you are using peeled peanuts you can skip this step.

  • In the mixer add peanuts, garlic, chilies, salt and grind into a fine powder.
  • Add lemon juice.
  • For tadka heat 1 tbs oil in a pan.
  • Add all the tadka ingredients when oil is hot.
  • Saute of 1 min and add the tadka to the chutney and mix properly.

Dry Peanut Chutney is ready. It will last in the fridge easily for 8-10 days. Enjoy with roti, rice.
